I have been on a quest for a sweet bod for years and years. Diets
aside, I have always wanted to find the perfect workout routine that
would hit all the right spots and start toning those muscles! I found
yoga just over a year ago and I am completely addicted and madly in
love. But I also wanted to find something unique that would also kick my
ass and infuse a bit more cardio as well...
...enter the kettle
bell classes at my gym - I'm hooked. I go twice a week and lately the Saturday class has been more of a boot camp with KBs than anything else and I've never worked harder - I highly recommend you give it a shot! I've been taken so far out of my comfort zone to a place that I never thought I would go.
I think I have found the best
combo of endurance, strength, stretching, cardio and mindfulness with a
touch of the crazy (have you seen some of these people?!).
If you think that Yoga and KB seem to be on the opposite ends of the spectrum I would have to agree with you but I was pleasantly surprised then the instructor of my Monday night KB class finished with a little cobra and downward dog :)
Some sort of yoga-KB hybrid? Ya, not quite there yet...
